The submission deadline for HAW-ForschungsraumQualifizierung ended in early December 2024, and now the selection process has been completed. Following the review process, a total of 23 projects were selected for funding by the expert committee of the Joint Science Conference (GWK). The selected project proposals will now be finally approved.

The successful projects cover a broad range of topics. From urban farming, smart factories, and biomedical engineering to nursing sciences and educational research, a wide range of disciplines are included. Artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation also play a role in several projects.

HAW-ForschungsraumQualifizierung supports universities of applied sciences (UAS) in strengthening their research profiles and combining these with the development of junior staff. To this end, attractive research and qualification opportunities – so-called research spaces – that address various user groups are to be established at the UAS. The research spaces are intended to create a strong appeal for the UAS and act as a magnet to attract cooperation partners and students from Germany and abroad.
