FHnet: UAS position themselves jointly for European research topics : Date:

Strengths can be strengthened more effectively when working together, and strategies can be developed in a more targeted manner. FHnet is a network of 23 German universities of applied sciences (UAS) which are supported by the BMBF within the framework of EU-Strategie-FH funding in the Research at Universities of Applied Sciences programme.

The objective of FHnet, which was founded about one and a half years ago, is to enable even more systematic networking to help its members position themselves for European research topics at EU level.

Recently, the network has also launched a joint online portal at www.eu-strategie-fh.net. With the help of this portal, the members of FHnet would like to deepen their strategic cooperation in order to jointly prepare for the European framework programme Horizon 2020 as well as the anticipated successor programme Horizon Europe (2021–2027). The 23 universities from all over Germany have also joined forces to promote the professionalisation of EU service points and EU administration at their universities.

The new portal will publish examples of good practice, successful university strategies and the latest news on the subject, and will provide an overview of other networks on EU issues. With its extensive contact and networking opportunities, the portal thus represents a unique information pool for deepening strategies regarding European research topics.
