In addition to practical training, universities of applied sciences (UAS) are also characterised by application- and implementation-oriented research. BMBF supports this research through a special funding programme to tap the potential of UAS more effectively and harness it for Germany as a location for business and innovation.

The topics of the “Research at Universities of Applied Sciences” programme are put out to tender. The project outlines submitted are evaluated in a brief review process with the help of external experts. Since UAS research covers a wide range of fields and thematic priority areas, we are constantly looking for experts with relevant knowledge from research and industry who contribute their expertise to the evaluation.

If you wish to become a reviewer for the programme, you can register in our reviewer database, where you can record your career and your expertise. The database then assigns you the desired number of thematically appropriate project outlines.

Please note that the time required for the reviews may vary greatly. Initially, you might expect to need half to full working day per outline; routine reviewers are often much quicker. Of course, you can always return outlines or request additional outlines in the ongoing process. Please ensure that you reject all project outlines for which you are in any way biased.
